It operates efficiently to charge the car quickly with no hassle. With other chargers, I have had issues with the connectors seurely clicking into the charging port. The construction of this device is perfect so there have been NO occurences where charging has not occured.
It is a good, useful charger, without many bells and whistles, but it gets the job done!

hen I first got my car it never even occurred to me to even look beyond the dealer for a charger... so I paid the big bucks and I was happy! However, I noticed a friend had a non-OEM charging station in his garage and so the "lightbulb" in my head went on and I was very pleased to find this unit on Amazon, priced over $1000 less than the OEM option... which is a substantial savings! Admittedly, it's sort of a backup unit - I have installed it at the cottage, and I can make the round trip on a single charge but this will give me the flexibility to go further afield while up north, so it's definitely a good addition.
Installation of the charging unit itself is as simple as can be - hang it on the wall and plug it in. You DO, however, either need the skills and knowledge to (a) recognize the capacity of your electrical panel, and (b) safely wire up a 220-240V outlet yourself, OR you need to get an electrician to install an outlet for you.
The quality of the materials seems to be good, across the board. The plug fits positively and feels trustworthy, and the charging performance seems to be on par with the OEM charger I have at home. (However, I haven't actually done any "scientific" testing, but it seems about right to me!)
